P.A.L.S. - Recall Refreshers
For puppies up to 32 weeks of age.
Do you have a runaway on your hands? Does your puppy turn ’deaf’ when you call them? Are walks becoming a chore?
Although training classes are a good starting point for training a recall, some dogs will need more work. If your puppy falls into this category, my new P.A.L.S. – Recall Refreshers workshops could be just what you’re looking for.
The workshop will cover;
- The use of different equipment
- Good dog walking etiquette
- Teaching a recall
- Components of recall
- Recall with distractions
- Emergency stop
- Whistle training
- Giving permission to play
- How to avoid ‘triggering’ your dog to run away
The workshops will take place on the training field as to replicate a park environment, irrespective of the weather! Handlers will need to ensure that they are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions, including footwear.
Puppies must be good with other puppies and people to attend this course.
Please don’t feed your puppy prior to the class as it may cause a digestive upset as puppies will be running around and we may need them to be motivated to work for treats!
